Teec Nos Pos Navajo Weaving : Cara Gorman : Churro 1425
One of the most complex and complicated designs in Navajo weaving. This style was influence by the oriental rugs in the East, yet retain their native American symbolic style.
In the photo, two master weavers- Elsie Bia (L) and Cara Gorman (R) hold up Cara's 2nd place Teec Nos Pos Reproduction weaving from the 2015 Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial. This weaving is from our exclusive Churro Collection.
This piece showcases a lovely geometric border surrounding a border filled with colorful medallions, surrounding a panel of crosses with geometric corners. Cara's talent is so impressive.
This weaving is featured in our "Master Weavings of the Navajo Churro Collection" Exhibit at Nizhoni Ranch Gallery, March 2019 and the "Master Weavings of the Navajo Churro Collection" catalog.
