Within each Medicine Pouch is a stylized Rainbow Bar. Rainbows are a symbol of all good things and happiness to the Navajo.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe original Ceremonial Sandpainting Drawings were done with colored sand by the Navajo Medicine Men when performing a healing ceremony, after the ceremony he would collect the sands together and distribute them in the 4 sacred directions.  Very few weavers would depict the Sandpaintings in a permanent weaving format, and only after a special ceremony is performed, giving them permission to do so.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll hand-carded, hand-spun, and Hand-dyed native wool.  The black is from the first shearing of black lambs less than a year old, and from their underbelly.  This weaving has many desirable color shifts, because of the hand-carding, and weaving lines which add dimension and character to the weaving.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis weaving was featured in our Woven Holy People exhibit. Calling God is seen at the other end with brown feathers on his head.
