The Ganado Trading Post is the namesake for the Ganado style of Navajo weaving. One of the owners loved the natural sheep wool colors, another liked bright colors. A compromise was made, and it was decided that they would only carry aniline red, blue, and black dyes. Ganado weavings are recognized by their strong red background.
