Antique Guardian Yei Navajo Weaving : Historic : GHT 2298

This antique Yei has a very unusual design.  The Yei figures represent prayer sticks, Pahos.  They are the guardians.    Pahos would be in the four corners in a Sandpainting.

From the 1920s, this Yei weaving is hand dyed red, and natural brown/black.  It is finely woven from Merino cross wool.

It would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
