Learn more about Crystal Style weavings

One of the things that make Navajo weavings so great is how they are interpreted.  For example when some see this piece they feel a connection to the art by MC Escher.  Others see it and interpret the symbolism to the whirling logs and opening to the First World as seen in the great sandpaintings.  And yet others see as simply gorgeous art which stands alone in its individual beauty.  What do you see? How does it touch you?

This handsome piece of loom art was brought to life in the 1920s using hand-carded and hand-spun Lincoln wool.  The handsome natural wool background is a treasure.  The variegation in the wool is masterfully created. The red draws you in and serves as a magnet of exploration as your eye wanders from red to red absorbing every element in this work of Arts & Crafts Optical Art.

A unique blend of history, Native American culture and storytelling make these weavings an art like no other.

To be showcased on your walls or grace your floors, this functional heirloom is one-of-a-kind piece of history that took 100's of hours to create and will last many lifetimes. We'd love to tell you more about it!
