Double Saddle Blanket : Historic Navajo Weaving : PC 188

This Navajo double saddle blanket is in like new condition.  It was hand spun, hand carded possibly of Churro wool.  The colors are very unique as the copper brown is mount mahogany root, the dark green/red/orange is Germantown yarn and the center green is aniline dyed.

As a double saddle blanket this piece would have been folded in half to provide extra padding for the horse's back. Possibly woven in the Teec Nos Pos area
