Manta Classic Dress Panel Navajo Weaving : Historic : AC 12

 This Classic Half Dress panel is truly a gem.  From the 1850s-1860s and in all original condition.  It was woven with handspun raveled bayeta (red) and indigo.  The deep deep brown is enhanced with natural sumac, so dark and  that it appears to be black. This black is handspun churro wool.   

This Dress panel, exceedingly finely woven and all original is very rare.
