Crystal Navajo Weaving : Historic : GHT 2135

Have you ever thought about the different stops that a timeless weaving might make on its life journey?

This is a very special weaving from the 1920s and is excellent - both in condition and quality. This lovely piece would have been a delightful accent to the parlour of any early American home.

The offset diamond shapes when seen from a distance look very dimensional.  You don't notice the feather accents until you are up close.  The colors in this piece are so complimentary to each other.  The bright red offers the perfect contrast to the muted Mountain Mahogany brown and the skillfully variegated gray-brown background.
