Crystal Navajo Weaving : Historic : GHT 1072

According to Navajo legend, the Dine' people were taught the art of weaving by Spiderwoman.  The cross with the corner points as you see here is known as one version of the Spiderwoman cross.

In this early Crystal piece, the weaver gives tribute to Spiderwoman, not only in the design, but by using the most beautiful wool, and weaving it extremely well.
