Learn more about the Teec Nos Pos style of weaving

When you look at the captivating border of this Teec Nos Pos weaving from the 1920s, what does your mind's eye see?  Are they forward and backward "E"s?  Perhaps open hinges?  What about double armed crosses? There is so much movement and meaning in the border that it can be difficult to move inward.  BUT if you are able to break the spell, you will be captured once again after you cross the double toothed red and white inner border.

Pause for a moment and drink in that incredibly beautiful and masterfully carded brown/grey background.  There is so many muted colors together - and they all work together in a very handsome way.  Hand-carded. hand-spun, and hand-dyed Lincoln wool.

It is only now that you see the saw-toothed Teec Nos Pos design and the two stylized Hero twins on either side.  This is a well-crafted work of art, and is a piece from our personal collection.

A unique blend of history, Native American culture and storytelling make these weavings an art like no other.

To be showcased on your walls or grace your floors, this functional heirloom is one-of-a-kind piece of history that took 100's of hours to create and will last many lifetimes. We'd love to tell you more about it!
