Teec Nos Pos / Red Mesa Navajo Rug Weaving : Historic : PC 76

Isn't it extra special when a weaver weaves a style within a style?  We sure think so! This is an exceptional example of a Red Mesa design within a Teec Nos Pos weaving.

Look at those borders! They scream Teec Nos Pos ... and the multi-colored lined pattern ... each line has a zig-dag center line!

Next you see a petite banner border with green, red, and brown/black.  a white line, and then tiny fire bundles.which carry you right into the next element.

If you remember, the simple definition of the Red Mesa weaving style is a line of belted  or diamonds with zig-zags or serrations. The central panel of this beauty has all of the elements of a spectacular Red Mesa.
