Two Grey Hills Navajo Rug : Helen and Gloria Bia : Churro 1560
HOT OF THE LOOM AND AT THE GALLERY!!!
This Two Grey Hills is OUTSTANDING !!! When we receive pictures of the weavings as they are being woven we really never know how special that weaving will be. This one is exemplary!
As I was taking the gallery close ups our new mascot showed up for the photo shoot. Meet Duke or Buddy, he seems to answer to both names. He's a rescue and is very friendly and nosy!
This detail shot shows just how much attention to detail it takes to finish Navajo weavings. When done with the weaving it will still need to have the cleanup work done.
This beautiful Two Grey Hills Navajo Rug Weaving is very special, it is being woven by Helen Bia and her daughter Gloria Bia. Both of these Navajo weavers are award winners!
Helen has worked with Steve for many, many years, in fact she is featured in Steve's book “The Fine Art of Navajo Weaving” which was published in 1984! Gloria won best of weavings in 2016 Gallup inter tribal ceremonial.
