Arnold Begay, son of a medicine man is known for weaving cultural imagery.
This unique Yei Be Chei weaving Arnold has created was pictured in Washington Mattews' book Navaho legends Plate 1. It is part of the Nightway ceremony.
From Left to right is a Calling God wearing black, the white figure is the Talking God complete with a squirrel pelt. The center figure is Fringe Mouth God with a bow and arrow. Next in line is a female Yei and ending with a Humpback Yei. The Humpback Yei is complete with sheep horns and a bag with seeds.
Arnold has a gift of imagery and has once again created a very special weaving!!
