There is a primal beauty found in the early Crystal weavings. The simplistic designs and patterns are so skillfully woven. In this piece we have a stunning background of native natural variegated wool which had been hand-spun. The cream field features many "lazy lines" or section lines which would have helped the piece "hinge" or lay better.

This beautiful weaving was created using aniline dyes and natural wool colored hand carded, hand spun native wool. The weaver created a unique Spider Woman cross border. By the 1920s JB Moore's catalog had been available to the Navajo weaver for over a decade and this wonderful rug has many plate elements. A truly talented weaver.
