Geschichte der Teec Nos Pos Teppiche
Teec Nos Pos Teppiche gelten weithin als der komplizierteste und detaillierteste aller von Navajo entworfenen Teppiche und bieten einen wirklich außergewöhnlichen und unverwechselbaren Look. Dieser Ring aus Pappelbäumen wurde nach einem für die Navajo wichtigen Ort benannt und hat zwei unterschiedliche Stile hervorgebracht, die beide seit langem von den dicht gewebten, farbenfrohen Perserteppichen des Nahen Ostens beeinflusst werden. Teec Nos Pos ist groß, kühn und farbenfroh und bietet ein unvergleichliches Weben. Teec Nos Pos Teppiche befinden sich in der nordöstlichen Ecke von Arizona und wurden 1905 bekannt, als sie aus dem J.B. Moores Crystal Weaving Style hervorgingen. Seit dieser Zeit haben Teec Nos Pos Teppiche am häufigsten eine von zwei einzigartigen Stilisierungen gezeigt, von denen eine aufwändige geometrische Motive und die andere eine Sammlung von Zick-Zack-Mustern mit unterschiedlichen Rändern aufweist. Die Zick-Zack-Muster sind die einzigen Entwürfe, die aus den Deckenentwürfen vor 1900 übernommen wurden.gns.
