Virtual Tour of Nizhoni Ranch Gallery
We are proud to adorn the Gallery walls with never before seen weavings from the Nez family of weavers and the Marianito family.
The Nez family of weavers are known particularly known their large Teec Nos Pos and pictorial designs. As Steve began the Exclusive Churro Collection he went to his most gifted weavers. He gave them 100% hand dyed, custom spun Churro wool and began to pay them as they wove. The seven of the Nez sisters along with their mother Grace created truly magnificent rugs. And not just rugs - massive rugs. Grace's largest Teec Nos Pos was 10' x 15'!
The Marianito sisters come from a long line of blanket weavers. They create some of the very best 1st, 2nd and 3rd Phase Chief Blankets. They also weave Serapes, Mantas, Woman's Blankets and shawls. Not only do they Churro wool, they even use silk and Alpaca. So talented!
Watch our new arrival page as we post these incredible weavings.
