Moki weavings are very distinctive in the Hubbell Trading Post/Chinle area. This weaving is very likely to be one of a pair which was hung over an entry to a Hogan which Hubbell specialized in. Outstanding design and very well woven.

All the Yeis are holding rain chains Wonderful vintage rainbow colors. A "spirit" line is prominent in this piece, can you find it?
This rug was woven using all hand-carded, hand-spun, and hand-dyed native wool.

This weaving used plate XXI, a beautiful adaptation of a JB Moore- Crystal weaving. Tightly woven with hand spun, hand carded native wool. The variegation in the browns is incredible. The red is aniline dyes which was hand dyed by the weaver.

All natural native Churro wool had been hand-sheared, hand-carded, and hand-spun. The many "lazy" or sectional lines add a visual fluidity and movement to the variegated gray/brown background.

Woven in the 1920s featuring two central Spiderwoman crosses brilliantly woven with a fine zig-zag accent, red ribbon borders and a gorgeous reversing arrow brown border, this piece has it all!
The colors are as vivid today as they were when the loom artist brought this piece to life. It was woven with beautiful Lincoln wool.

The Ganado Trading Post is the namesake for the Ganado style of Navajo weaving. One of the owners loved the natural sheep wool colors, another liked bright colors. A compromise was made, and it was decided that they would only carry aniline red, blue, and black dyes. Ganado weavings are recognized by their strong red background.

This large handsome Ganado - Klagetoh weaving would look amazing on the floor, wall, on a game table, or across the bed. The weaver used deep crimson Ganado red with gray, black, and white to showcase the brilliant color.

This exquisite piece is a Ganado - Klagetoh design from the Hubble Trading Post. The Master weaver responsible for this piece had a keen eye for color, pattern, and symmetry. Every design element works together perfectly - from the angles of the stepped border to the wonderful sawtooth central belted diamonds.
