The Navajo were permitted to return to their beloved red dessert nestled between the four sacred mountains. Government appointed Traders began setting up posts in the remote areas of the reservation to supply goods, and to personally promote weaving. Items sold at the trading post exposed the Navajo to a great new palette of ideas, designs, and patterns as found on sacks, catalogs, and photos.

We bring you an impressive weaving from the Transitional period.
