Teec Nos Pos Navajo Weaving : Historic : GHT 2071

One of the most complex and complicated designs in Navajo weaving.  This style was influence by the oriental rugs in the East, yet retain their native American symbolic style.

This beautiful piece is filled with life and color.  The border base color is naturally variegated dark brown / black wool which is the perfect background for the bright orange and turquoise.

Within the design proper you are greeted by intricate designs with a distinct oriental influence.  Purple makes a surprise entrance as as element outlines and fills, and then there are those luscious  outer and inner rich red borders.

This piece would serve as a handsome game table cover, a bed cover, a rug (of course), and wall hanging.
