Ganado - Klagetoh Pictorial Runner : Historic : GHT 2111

Now this is a very unusual Ganado - Klagetoh treat for a couple of beautiful reasons.  First of all, it was woven as a runner - narrow, and very long.  This piece is 11 feet long!

Secondly, look at the eye candy the weaver left for us - two stalks of corn, the symbol for life,  in the center of the design. And beautiful displays of bows and arrows and feathers to showcase the corn. Hidden on top of the corn are two little blue birds with red legs. Can you find them?  Bluebirds are messengers to the gods.

Third - take a look at the sawtooth outline of the upper and lower diamonds which give it a dimensional appearance.

This piece was woven with ganado red, and features a gorgeous natural field of variegated browns. The colors, quality, and condition of this rug are exceptional.
