They were known as \u003cspan class=\"highlightNode\"\u003eSunday \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"highlightNode\"\u003eSaddle\u003c\/span\u003e Blankets, and this one is extra fancy.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eUsed for special occasions to throw over the saddle, not under it.  The weaver of this one added a longer fringe\/tassel up both sides to help protect it, and provide a more complex display.  \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCreated using Germantown yarn, this piece also has the original fringe and tassels. \u003cem data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis beautiful piece was featured in the \u003cstrong data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eNavajo Textiles as Modern Art\u003c\/strong\u003e exhibit held at Nizhoni Ranch Gallery March 11 -
