Product Description

This Eyedazzler Navajo blanket was woven during the Transitional period using hand carded, hand spun and hand dyed native wool. 

In this Navajo blanket you can see the heavy use of orange which was a new aniline dye color in the 1880s and extremely popular with the Navajo weavers.   The purple color was a new color in the early 1880s as a replacement for indigo.

In good condition this weaving has a very heavy blanket handle, just perfect to use at the end of your bed or on the sofa.  It would pack a punch hanging on the wall!
