Style: Miniature Weavings
Miniature weavings are a special art form in themselves. These weavings are made of the finest threads of wool on the tiniest of looms. All still made the same way as the larger Navajo Weavings but they take a very steady hand and precision eye to bring the threads to the exact positions to create these tiny designs.
These miniature tapestries are unique in Navajo weaving - woven by just one extended families from The Sawmill/White Clay area of the Navajo reservation since the early 1970's, and have evolved into their own distinctive type of Navajo weaving collectible.
